When a company acquires a new brand, the clock starts immediately: marketing wants the new site live, legal wants compliance content in place, and engineering wants it done without technical debt. On a recent M&A onboarding project I used Adobe Experience Manager Edge Delivery Services (EDS) together with AI tooling to compress a typical 6-week build into 3, while raising the quality bar.
What changed
- AI-assisted scaffolding generated first-pass EDS blocks straight from the acquired site’s existing markup, which our team then refined instead of building from a blank page.
- Parallel workstreams were possible because EDS decouples authoring from the front end, so content migration and component development happened at the same time.
- Automated review passes (lint, accessibility, performance budgets) ran on every commit, catching regressions before they reached a human reviewer.
The result
Go-live time dropped from 6 weeks to 3, with no increase in defects reported post-launch — and the pattern has since become the default playbook for future acquisitions.
If you’re weighing EDS for a similar migration, or want to talk through where AI genuinely saves time versus where it just moves the review burden around, get in touch.
